How we partner with sleep specialists, ENTs, and patients with integrity.

Purpose

Inspire Medical Systems sells an implantable therapy for obstructive sleep apnea. Every interaction with a sleep specialist, ENT, surgeon, sleep lab, hospital, or patient must reflect the highest ethical standard. This policy applies to every Inspire employee, contractor, and authorized representative worldwide.

Provider interactions

Gifts of any value to providers are prohibited. Modest meals are permitted only during legitimate business meetings and must be logged in Concur within 5 business days. Speaker programs, advisory boards, and consulting arrangements must be pre-approved by Legal, executed under a written agreement, and reported to the Sunshine Act registry.

Patient privacy (HIPAA+)

Inspire follows HIPAA plus a stricter internal standard: never store identifiable patient data on personal devices, never discuss cases in public spaces, and always use the Inspire Patient Portal for any case follow-up. Suspected breaches must be reported to privacy@inspiresleep.example within 24 hours.

Speak Up

Any concern — ethics, kickbacks, off-label promotion, harassment — can be reported anonymously through the Speak Up line (1-800-555-0142) or speakup.inspiresleep.example. Retaliation is strictly prohibited.
